SHAME & SCANDAL is the tale of an affluent Jamaican family consumed with keeping its financial legacy intact.

Brimming with twists and turns, this dark comedy set in 1960s Jamaica sees the prodigal son Michael return home with his power-hungry fiancée, Sophia.

Milton and Diana put the young couple through their paces. As life-altering secrets are revealed, tensions mount and they all battle to keep what they feel they rightfully deserve.

CURTIS WALKER

Milton Lawson

Curtis plays the proud owner of a Jamaican rum distillery: wealthy, headstrong, scandalous and devious with a capital D. His television credits include Paramount City, Kerching!, The Real McCoy, The Lenny Henry Show, Ed Stone Is Dead! and Youngers. Film includes Bullet Boy, while theatre includes Moon on a Rainbow Shawl. He is a recipient of BICA’s Best Male Stand-Up award and the Top Carlton TV Multicultural Entertainment & Comedy Award.

YVETTE ROCHESTER-DUNCAN

Diane Lawson

Yvette is an accomplished actress with a varied career across television, radio and theatre. Her theatre credits include Much Ado About Nothing, The Big Life, Mother Courage, Funny Black Women on the Edge, Off Camera, Fruit Salad and The Thing About Shirley. Television credits include Casualty, Don’t Shoot the Messenger, The Bill, Touching Evil, Chef, Club Class and Jim Jam & Sunny.

REN LAWRENCE

Sophia Banton

Ren plays a feisty, upwardly mobile young woman determined to carve a bright future for herself. She trained at Rose Bruford College in American Theatre Arts and spent a year at Stephen F. Austin State University, where she appeared in Hairspray. Her work ranges from Shakespeare to Debbie Tucker Green and Sam Shepard, with appearances at the National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe and Hackney Empire, alongside independent film work.
