It’s On
Perception. Pursuit. Truth.
It’s On, the debut short film from Lunga Yeni, premiered at the Bang Film Festival, Nottingham 2013.
Set against the raw, restless energy of South London, the film challenges negative perceptions surrounding Black teenagers.
Through a series of gripping and disquieting images, we follow a group of youths sprinting through the streets, while a young mother and her five-year-old son race toward an unknown destination.
A sudden bang fractures the silence; and with a final, unexpected twist, It’s On compels the audience to confront their own biases and rethink what they’ve just witnessed.
